“Our sixth form is a thriving learning community with a curriculum to match the needs of all our students.
We pride ourselves on the excellent outcomes that our sixth form students achieve, both in terms of their exam results and their destinations, which include leading universities.
Value added at A-level is amongst the best in the area and our most recent Ofsted report rated our sixth form as ‘Good’.
It is no surprise that our numbers have increased rapidly in recent years.
We take pains to construct a highly personalised academic package to meet the needs of every individual student, with each sixth former receiving tailored guidance and pastoral support.
We are dedicated to shaping young lives and to ensuring that all of our students aim high to reach their full potential.”

The heart of our philosophy is that every individual counts; each sixth former is known, cared for, and offered regular guidance and advice.
Our Head of Sixth Form is supported by a Vice Principal and Sixth Form Support Officer, creating a strong team of staff leading the development and running of our sixth form.
Students have a designated tutor who works with them on a daily basis, supporting them through all stages of their post-16 journey and onto their next steps.
The sixth form team works holistically, supporting all students to achieve their full potential in their post-16 studies; monitoring their academic progress, removing any barriers to learning and ensuring the wellbeing of each individual. We are committed to providing the best outcomes for all of our students.
Please look at the bottom of this page to view our 6th form dress code.
Joining our 6th form will also allow students to take on Leadership opportunities; including Year 11 mentoring, Paired reading with younger students, School council, Sports coaching, leading enrichment clubs and many more.
Please note: A single BTEC is the equivalent to one A'Level. All students have to initially choose 5 subjects in order of preference. We expect students to generally be studying three subjects.
