Welcome to our 6th Form.
We exist to create brilliant humans, who go on to achieve brilliant outcomes, and reach brilliant destinations.
We believe that brilliance is measured in the character, ambition, and curiosity of our students. We nurture individuals who are confident, compassionate, and ready to make a meaningful impact in the world.
We know that great grades are the currency of opportunity—opening doors to top universities, competitive apprenticeships, and impactful careers. That’s why we offer a broad and ambitious curriculum, tailored to ignite passions and unlock potential across academic and vocational pathways. With small class sizes, we offer a personalised and supportive environment where every student is known, challenged, and championed.
We are proud to offer the Future Scholars Programme—a high-level academic initiative designed to broaden horizons, stretch thinking, and cultivate scholarly habits. This programme, alongside our high-quality enrichment experiences, ensures students engage with the world beyond the classroom—through lectures, trips, leadership opportunities, and cultural exploration.

What our Brilliant Alumni say...
"I still see my time at TGA as the best years of my life."
During my time at TGA I studied A-Level Business, English Literature and Criminology. These led to me studying a Television and Broadcasting undergraduate degree and then a Journalism Masters at Portsmouth University. I am now working as a freelance journalist, focusing on community and entertainment news! The sixth form and the staff gave me the opportunity to step out of my comfort zone and pursue something I once didn’t have the confidence to do. I still see my time at TGA as the best years of my life.
Michael – Class of 2021

"TGA shaped the person I am today"
During my time at TGA I studied A-level Sociology, Psychology and Geography. Since a very young age I have always aspired to work in the aviation industry. When I left TGA, I became cabin crew for EasyJet. I am now crew for British Airways Euroflyer! The Sixth Form and staff gave me the motivation to pursue my dreams and make it a reality. If I did not go to TGA I wouldn’t know where I would be. I will forever appreciate every opportunity that came my way.
Jack – Class of 2023
Sixth Form Life
Students have strong relationships with sixth form leaders, including form tutors, a dedicated Head of Year and sixth form administrator. Through this, they are supported to make the most of every day. Students have their own dedicated study area and common room and we take pride in supporting students to become driven and disciplined in their use of independent study time. Our student leadership team takes on substantive leadership roles within the school at large, championing student voice through participating and taking a lead with our school council, supporting clubs and extracurricular activities, and liaising regularly with school leaders to ensure the very best experience for all.
Pastoral Care
The heart of our philosophy is that every individual counts; each sixth former is known, cared for, and offered regular guidance and advice. Our Sixth Form is supported by a member of the leadership team, an Achievement leader and our Sixth Form Support Officer, creating a strong team of staff leading the development and running of our sixth form.
Students have a designated tutor who works with them on a daily basis, supporting them through all stages of their post-16 journey and onto their next steps. The sixth form team works holistically, supporting all students to achieve their full potential in their post-16 studies; monitoring their academic progress, removing any barriers to learning and ensuring the wellbeing of each individual. We are committed to providing the best outcomes for all of our students.
